Patrick Lavaud, born in Paris in 1976, is a Cinematographer and Filmmaker. He started his career in the nineties in France as a Stage Coordinator in the renowned Studios De Boulogne. He rapidly evolved in the camera department as Gaffer, Camera operator, Steadicam operator and Director of Photography.

After his last great mission in France, with the legendary Hollywood Director Brian De Palma, on the movie "Femme Fatale", Patrick decided in 2002 to move to Indonesia and he never left since.

Based in Jakarta, Patrick continues to develop his skills as a freelance filmmaker and explores the archipelago for International broadcaster as BBC, Al Jazeera and National Geographic. Patrick is also developing his own projects for short and feature films while sharing regularly with others filmmakers his camera skills and his creativity for music video clips and commercials.

Always following the latest technology in camera development, Patrick became a specialist in digital camera filming.

With over 20 years experience in the camera department, Patrick has developed a keen eye for what makes an engaging and thought provoking moving image throughout various and intense missions and looks forward to new cinematographic challenges.
